The Boat
An Dobharcú has been just about everywhere on the Irish – and English – inland waterways. She has ideal dimensions for the Grand and Royal Canals. She is equipped with a powerful, very reliable engine and a bow thruster.
She is very well insulated and has plenty of light and ventilation. There are four entrances. The main entrance is from the stern deck. The forward entrance is from the canvas-covered ‘cratch’ , which can also serve as an outdoor seating area. And there is a separate entrance on each side of the vessel.
